App Lounge scrolls to the top after app update button is pressed

When the list of apps to be updated is longer than the screen can show, updating each app one by one becomes very tedious. The upper most apps are no problem and the button can be pressed without an issue. While those further down the list have to be scrolled to, pressed and the screen jumps back up to the top again. This has to be repeated for each app.

A workaround is to update only the upper most apps, wait till they are done, close the App Lounge and repeat. This becomes quite tedious over time as well.

Where do I have to report this bug?

on the parallel thread I wrote an “Update All” button in the upper right should be shown. Was that hidden or invisible for you?

In my experience it will just run through all updates

Edit: but yes, the behaviour is a “papercut” bug and breaks with user expectations (imo no jump to the top). I searched for related terms and couldn’t find a filed bug on this in the backlog, so yeah someone needs to create it.

The update all button is available and was always there, but I use 3 different stores.

  1. F-Droid
  2. App Lounge
  3. Aurora

In this order.

And sometimes App Lounge is faster than F-Droid, that’s why I do it manually. As I told you in the other thread, OsmAnd was the only available app to be updated via App Lounge, but that is an F-Droid app.

I like to keep control over what happens.

A bug report will be created.

Edit: Although I see most open issues are around App Lounge

I pre filtered on the applounge label in the url, thats why it would show only those

Didn’t see that, sorry, it’s early. Going to work the day, will file the bug in the evening.

I prefer to have all stores set not to allow update apps installed by other stores.

I guess that you did have an unusually long list of apps to update due to your initial problem.

No unfortunately not. Each time I check, about once or twice a month, the list is at least two screens long.
