AppLounge is stuck in a loop

When I want to install a new app on my Fairphone 5, AppLounge is stuck in an endless loop. After an upgrade to the latest system version, the problem was solved. Now it is back again. I searched the other topics and found: delete storage and cache, reboot, log in again. That doesn’t work.

Anyone an idea?

Hello,
I sometimes see this looping behaviour. Did not figured out the reason, but simply rebooting usually makes it working again.

Also F-droid and Aurora Store can be a workaround as AppLounge is basiquelly an addition of both…

Hi Piero,

I tried both. And both are not working. It looks I cannot install commercial apps, like Shazam and the apps from a bank, like ING and KNAB. Something like my phone (FP5) is not suitable for these apps. From KNAB I got a version that said on startup: please install the update. But that was not possible.
The result is that I have my FP5 as a kind of second phone for playing around, but now got an extra new iPhone for the real one in use for daily life, as I cannot work this way. Which is kind of a pity as I really want to change to e/OS and believe in the ideas behind it.

This same sort of thing is being said in this thread App Lounge hangs on many "common" apps.

You might check some of the more recent posts and see if you can improve Aurora store performance as suggested.

There is this Gitlab issue App Lounge cannot show or install many "common" apps (#8738) · Issues · e / Backlog · GitLab

Thank you, aibd. And after reading many posts on the forum I found out the solution was indeed on Gitlab: the problem lies in the underlying API setting. If you go to Aurora and change FP5 to Samsung or any other phone with the right API setting, it works!
