Banking app Fortuneo does not work

Hi everyone,

I have been trying to launch the Fortuneo banking app (in France) on e/os/ 2.8 (unofficial build on Redmi Note 8T).

I get this error :

Does anyone have the same problem ? Any solution ?

Fortuneo support tells me they are not to investigate because it is a platform related issue. Other banking app (Banque Populaire) works by the way.

I would say the problem is that you use ‘unofficial’. It could be also something very different just a first guess.

Unfortunately the ROM is not maintained, so I had to use the latest community build I could find.

FYI microG is up and running.
I also tried switching of trackers : does not work.

I guess I’ll use the (non-mobile-responsive) website when needed :cold_face:

Unofficial

  • Builds are made by /e/OS or external users
  • Builds are not supported by /e/OS
  • Made using /e/OS sources code with no modifications in any form
  • At times may not have a maintainer as in made by a user who does not own the device
  • Do not receive OTA updates
  • Available for download on /e/OS websites and are tagged as “UNOFFICIAL”
  • Release Frequency: Monthly or biMonthly
  • Build Naming format: e-0.7-n-2020021341116-UNOFFICIAL-mata.zip
  • Install these builds at your own risk

Naming format explanation:

e-codeversionnumber-osversion-YYYYMMDDbuildid-UNOFFICIAL-devicename.zip

The name of the build I used : e-2.8-u-20250304-UNOFFICIAL-ginkgo.zip
I think I got it here : [UNOFFICIAL BUILD] Xiaomi Note 8T (ginkgo) for /e/OS-T

Why I used it ? When following the installation documentation (Install /e/OS on a Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 / 8T - “ginkgo”) the links to /e/OS recovery and build give error 404.

As I said, ‘unofficial’ is not like ‘community’ and ‘official’. Banking apps like to refuse.

You could also try to convince Ronnz to start be maintainer for it maybe it can switch to community then
