Bliss launcher: usability problems

Thank you for /e/OS!

I have several usability problems w/ bliss launcher:

  • long press on an empty background vibrates, but doesn’t open the menu
  • swipe from bottom to top doesn’t open all installed apps
  • I cannot create an app icon on the background - shortcut - for an installed app
  • how do I add a clock widget to the background?

That’s it for the start!
Thanks in advance!

Best regards
Gerrit

Works as intended as far as I know. BlissLauncher was (years ago) to copy iOS behaviour, as far as I know. From what I know watching my favorite YouTuber, iOS is closer now to Android.

I would suggest you to install a different Launcher. The forum users have debated many times which one they like (there are several)

Is not a feature of Bliss.

The app drawer is not a feature of Bliss.

Yes, of course, but is not a feature of Bliss. Bliss shows you what Bliss means you should see.

This should be possible. But not on every screen. As far as I know you must take the left most screen for widgets.

I see you’re familiar with good and common features which are also typical and comfortable. If you want to have these again you should change your launcher. Try Lawnchair 2.

this lawnchair: Lawnchair 14 beta 3 now in F-Droid (imo getting the F-Droid store client and then adding the izzy repo makes the most sense)
