As far as I understood, the Fairphone is supposed to support call recording, and I’ve seen screenshots of a button you can press during a call to make that happen. That button is completely absent for me.
/e/os is supposed to support this, and I’m in a region where it’s legal to record calls, something which is doubly clear from call_record_states.xml on the /e/os Gitlab.
The phone app does have a setting to adjust the audio format of recorded calls, but no button to actually toggle call recording on or off.
Yeah, on the Gitlab where I can’t sign up with my own email just because I happen to use a custom domain. Sure, I’ll get right on that. They seem real open to feedback. /s
I successfully tested call recording and it was OK.
Then I started modding all settings (BTW TTY mode is not activated, RTT is off), adding a user, installing record managers, uninstalling them and doing other things. Then back on the dialer, I got the same screen as @Telaneo.
I tried to create a gitlab issue but no success with account creation and I can not find an Admin email here to ask for it.
