Camera launch issues when screen locked

Continuing the discussion from Feedback for v1.5:

I have this setting enabled and it works when the screen is unlocked, but if I activate it when the screen is locked, I have to first unlock the screen, before seeing the camera (the camera app still launches, but it is “behind” the locked screen)

it seems this issue has returned, in /e/OS 3.1.1 v (and still present in 3.1.4 also).

Launching camera either from the lock screen icon or by double pressing the power button, the app launches under the lock screen - I have to unlock screen before i can use the camera app.

Do you have multiple camera apps installed or did you recently use another one? The same behavior happened to me when switching from OpenCamera to GCam - I was able to resolve it following this approach: Camera Not opening from lockscreen (#4926) · Issues · LineageOS / issues / android · GitLab

there is a setting which prevents that, look for it int the camera settings or here on the forum, people asked that before

No, I’ve only had the default app installed.

Its a security thing, the developers can’t set is on as default
