Dear all, since updating to e/OS 3.6, Google Maps does not work anymore as I’ve been getting this error updating Google Play Services.
Fairphone 6 with e/OS installed, bought directly from Fairphone.

You should never attempt to update Google Play services on a degoogled phone. /e/OS uses microG to spoof it. Forum search.

Sorry but I don’t know what is broken for you. Did you fully read the links? I think you will find good information there unless perhaps you find you have a special case not covered (??).
Reinstalled Google Maps but still can’t get online.
Sorry I never used Google Maps, might your enquiry be better directed to one of the participants who got it fixed with (I think) a downgrade?
Or, edit, are you saying that the phone is off line due to damage to microG, perhaps?
Yea its just Google maps thats broken. Even with a downgrade it doesn’t seem to work. At the moment I’m using Google Maps Go as a workaround. Hopefully a better fix will arrive. Cheers.
On F-Droid, there’s GMaps WV, a WebView wrapper to Google Maps.
That may fill the gap and prevent Google from sniffing too much.
