Can't connect to App Lounge

Could I run into any issues later down the track if I update apps with Aurora that I had installed with AppLounge? Many thanks for any thoughts on this, and please excuse my ignorance.

No issue from my side. All apps (about 90) that I have installed through AppLounge are correctly updated with Aurora Store, not a single issue with the usage.
Then, when AppLounge works again, it also updates the apps normally. So I guess that there’s no conflict by dealing with both AppLounge and Aurora Store, even though I didn’t test the whole Android catalog…

I obviously did blacklist all “/e/OS” core apps in Aurora (including Micro-G stuffs) to avoid any problem.

worked yesterday, did install an app and stopped misteriously…
tried to use a google account, can’t login…

I am also having issues with the App Lounge. I am unable to find mainstream apps at all.

Same here with a Fairphone 3 and a Terracube 2e both with the latest OS.
According to https://status.e.foundation it is up and running.

I have this issue too on FP4.
Is there any official comment from e Foundation?
This looks like a P1 incident that impacts too many users and lasts for too long :frowning:

It has been going on for over a week, and it’s not cool at all.
It seems that the team tries to solve the problem, but it lasts too long :weary:

I will continue to use Aurora Store, I no longer have the choice until next year to change e/OS/ by another.

Hello /e/OS team,

What is going on here? App Lounge is still not working in anonymous mode. It can’t update, can’t install new apps, can’t search for apps, and we get no status update on why this is happening or when it’s expected to be resolved? The status page https://status.e.foundation/ is a joke at this point, it has lost all credibility. It’s been several weeks. Do you really still have no clue what’s going on?

I logged a ticket with the Murena helpdesk a couple of days about this:

“Can you tell me when the App Lounge issue is going to be fixed please? Anonymous access hasn’t been working for some time now. Is it actively being worked on?”

No response as yet

App Lounge anonymous mode code has issues. The team is working on resolving it. This was mentioning in the weekly update, Will update once we have a fix in place.

Have asked the team to correct the status on the page

Have added a post to track this

Last week, @GaelDuval mentioned that this would be resolved this week.

Hi everybody, App lounge not working for me either. And when I tried to connect via Google it says “Error 404”, so I started to use Aurora instead, with the anonymous mode.
(FP 3+, Android 12).

Things seems to work again since a few hours in anonymous mode. I can ever found apps that were missing from AppLounge now. Hope it will last and thanks to the team doing hard work lately to make things working again.

Ah, after clearing its cache App Lounge gave me an error about the anonymous account being unavailable and worked after I clicked “ignore”.

It seems to be working now. Nov. 16.
