Hello
I’ve got a Samsung phone (SM G935F, android version 10, /e/os 1-2-20220725206061) that has been not been used for few years.
Now I need to use it and it won’t update
I get an error “can’t check for updates, check your internet connection try later again” when trying to update the system.
7 updates are listed, from sep 2022 thru mar 2023
is there a way to update it ?
it looks as there is some network error, although the phone is connected to wifi and accessing the internet.
Are these listed in the System Updater? If yes, does this list specifically include the Android Version Upgrades? Perhaps take a screenshot. [1].
Please be aware that correct Android version upgrade from Q to R now provided by republished builds (mentioned below ) will be critical to being able to move forward.
You should be sure to collect a backup before anything but you might first try
Settings > Apps (or Apps and notifications) > See all apps > top right 3 dot menu > Show system > Updater (or System updater) > Storage > Clear storage.
Especially check for the republished builds with date_in_version_number of 20250318 as e-2.1-r- 20250318 477378-stable-hero2lte.zip
Further, please be aware that e-1.17.1-q-20250318477358-stable-hero2lte.zip (republished build) will be critical to your Upgrade path. This update will attempt to ensure that you do not have an SD card mounted as “Internal storage”.
