Change selfhosted domain

Hi there,

I am currently using my own domain (say abc) as my domain for the self hosted cloud. Can I somehow change to xyz without having to install everything again?

Thanks

Regain your privacy! Adopt /e/OS the unGoogled mobile OS and online servicesphone

As an avenue of first resort, the easiest way would likely be to use PostfixAdmin to add xyz as an alias domain to the mailbox. Your usernames would still use abc, but it wouldn’t appear that way to the world.

It’s not quite the answer you’re asking for, but it’s probably the simplest, in the absence of a better answer.

Hi,

Considering the number of changes and the time needed to track them all, your best bet would be a fresh install.

You could sync some data while running both, side by side:

Thanks to Joey and you, Sylvain. I’ll go for a fresh install probly, although I do also consider Nextcloud AIO. But migrating the murena theme to a normal Nextcloud instance is also a fiddly task, so I stay with the selfhosted murena cloud and try to make some changes. I would like to change the logos, could you please advise on that?

I know I have to replace some files in /mnt/repo-base/volumes/nextcloud/html/themes/eCloud/core/img but I don’t know which ones. I think they are svg files.

Any assistance is appreciated!

Kind regards

Hi,

Never modified the theme

Theming reference is here: https://docs.nextcloud.com/server/latest/admin_manual/configuration_server/theming.html (you may want to install/enable theming app).
For the reference, Murena theme is here: https://gitlab.e.foundation/e/infra/ecloud/nextcloud-apps/nextcloud-theme. You may want to download or pull it in order to easily examine the image files…

Theming app doesn’t work with “theme” enabled in config.php and disabling it leads to a internal server error, no clue why this is.
