Continually losing wifi (fairphone 6)

Hello

Not sure if this is the right place to put this, but for the last few days my fairphone 6 running e/os has been losing connection to my home wifi. Rebooting the phone restores the connection temporarily, but after a while it drops again and needs another reboot.

Any advice much appreciated and happy to supply further information/logs if that helps.

you’ll find others affected (and a workaround that could help) at Fairphone 6: Wifi stops working, reboot fixes it

I have the exact same issue!

I also have not found a good solution, other than rebooting..

Does this happen in all Wi-Fi?

For home WI-Fi did you reset the router. It is known that a phone once working on a home router will be “different” after /e/OS install, so reset the router, or a better more specific fix remove the phone and reintroduce.

Maybe on the router you can explore if some connection speeds or security measures work better for this phone.

The phone also has Settings > System > Reset options > reset Wi-Fi, obviously has a different result from reset router,

Thank you for your quick answer! I did reset the phones Wi-Fi multiple times over the last couple of weeks.

I am running a Ubiquiti network with U7 APs at home, i did not see any conflict in the management interface there. This issue also occurs at work.

It does not seem to be a connection issue: when it enters this “bugged” state the phone does not show any WIFI networks (empty WiFi list). After a reboot it connects to my home network as expected and other foreign networks are also listed as usual.

I do not see any recorded Gitlab issue for fp6 Work items FP6 · e / Backlog · GitLab – as a bug maybe it would be worth to Report an issue (if you do so, please read the section in this link in the event of Login failure and the request to use a murena.io issued email address.)
