Display garbled on powering on after powering down to remove SIM2

Today I turned off my Fairphone 3+ purchased from new from Murena, currently running 3.0.4-t-20250709507786-official-FP3. It has not been rooted. I removed the battery to remove unused 2nd SIM. Rebooted and screen was garbled with RGB pixels covering the whole screen. Pressing the power button to turn off did nothing. I have 10 Gb of free storage internally. Could this be the issue or do I need a new screen? I have written this post using said phone when it finally recovered.

10GB is enough for the OS,its the screen

like this Screen shows random noise ~ snow (after fall) ? could be a loose connector. The screen is fine if it can recover at all

Sometimes this nonintrusive part here from the linked topic could just do the trick …

(I’m repeating it here to increase the chances for affected users to see it.)

I did do some gentle pushing round the screen edge but no clicks heard.
