As the topic below is already closed, I’d like to ask now which pen really works with a Murena Pixel Tablet before buying it. And wihich pdf-app. I unfortunately have to use an iPad for my choir scores up to now and like to change to Murena Pixel Tablet (I have been a long term user of e/OS/ with Fairphones 2 and 4). Pixel tablet pen and apps

Hi there, Does anyone know which default apps are “pen-compatible”? Is there a special thing to do, like turn on an option ? Right now, I can only use it with only Mobile Sheets (a music score app) and I am looking for a pdf reader which allows the pen for taking notes, underlining etc. Thanks for your help! PDF app w/ support for handwritten notes?

Hi, can you recommend a PDF app running on /e/OS which supports adding handwritten notes (for instance via some drawing tool)? My use case is: sheet music (PDF); quickly add annotations (arrows, symbols, strike through, highlighting, …) in various colors. Open source preferred, but I’d probably also accept a closed source one provided its impact on privacy is sufficiently diminished by the protection mechanisms in /e/OS. Kind regards Ingolf

Note taking apps

For some time I was searching for a note taking app where I could integrate photos. The /e/ notes app (which is a fork of nextcloud notes, if I got it right), doesn’t offer this feature. So I tried first Carnet, which is also part of the murena cloud. But I could never get to work the sync with the cloud. I even lost some notes. And I think it’s no longer in active development, right? Then I found Quillpad - a true treasure! The note sync works seamlessly right after entering my murena cloud c…

I still look for an app for taking handwritten notes on a pdf file… And perhaps even with a pen…

I haven’t tested it with an e-pen/pencil (can’t/don’t have one myself), but I use Episteme for reading ebooks and it has the ability to write on PDFs. May be worth a shot to see if that’s the app for you. I hope it works!
