e/OS update 2.5

Not sure where to post this but I see e/OS update 2.5 is available to my phone since November 9 2024, but I see no feedback topic just yet. Anyone else being offer the update to 2.5?

My device Google Pixel 4a5g, bramble running 2.4.1-t.

Nothing available on my Murena FP5.

Thanks for the heads-up. Also available (dev/community build) for FP3. Right now the community build is available for all FP3, FP4, FP5, but the stable/official build not yet (the latter is what you have if you bought your FP from Murena).

You can check availability of FAIRPHONE /e/OS updates here

FP2 support ended (final update was 2.2-r – download no longer available)
FP3 /e/OS community FP3 download or /e/OS official FP3 download
FP4 /e/OS community FP4 download or /e/OS official FP4 download
FP5 /e/OS community FP5 download or /e/OS official FP5 download

P.S.: Interesting observation – I got two /e/OS 2.5 versions offered:
One dated from 9 November, one 11 November (I chose the latter, currently installing).

Maybe you shouldn’t install. Not officaly released.

Test build information is not to be posted on this forum. The final release will start showing up later today. The release goes up to 18 Nov.

Regarding test builds - wait for the formal release notification as it may confuse users. Sometimes the release notes show up first before the builds start appearing.

Everyone please continue here

It already startd showing up an hour ago. It seemed too early since in the weekly update it was written ‘next week’ as in from 25th. Anyway sorry about the unnecessary confusion.

I don’t not have eOS test channel turned on in the phone so not sure why I see this update?

Phone says my current build is 2.4.1-t 20241009-community build-bramble. Is this a test build?

Is an community build released by /e/OS. The reason why you have not seen the v2.5 is because it was released late yesterday night. The builds will take some time to roll out for all devices.

Manoj,

I got the notice today about 6 hours ago. No worries I will download at link and check the hash. I just found it odd I seemed to get it first or sooner?

Felt the same, I was worried the release was pushed somehow wrong. Maybe because of our timezone (me JST) we saw it early.
