Experiment With Old Phone with /e/OS

I have a Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite, daisy-sprout, sculling around and thought I might try and put /e/OS on it. It is not listed in the Xiaomi models - but other similar models are. So what should I try??

And why the slashes in eOS?

Thanks.

Hello and welcome to this user forum.

I don’t know the reason for the slashes in e/OS.

If your model isn’t listed, then no luck, unless someone more knowledgable than me tell the contrary.

my explication, but not THE only possible :

.

(“e” is for “eelo” that was the first name)
when first building from sources, it was “the” e folder, the “e” project where “e” (for eelo) replace “cm” (for CyanogenMod), so the slash

→ /android/e/nougat/

.

E-os is a Canon brand camera
when launching, it was “/e/” but the firsrt users on the forum used to use /e/OS or /e/-OS

no matching result here, and neither on XDAforums,

https://xdaforums.com/search/73118537/?q=daisy-sprout&o=date

so no chances for this device

.

Edit : IF the bootloader is unlockable, you may install GSI…
