[FEATURE PROPOSAL] AppLock and IzzyOnDroid

  1. Please add a native applock solution, like you implemented in Notes app, but system-wide. Very useful, much needed.

  2. Will be nice to have IzzyOnDroid included in repo list of App Lounge to widen the the range of FOSS apps available out of the box. Hate the need to install 3rd party store app just for that repo.

Thanks!

Second Izzy.

Also, repo for NewPipe and Threema would be great.

Our ‘just’ the ability to add own repos?
While it might be more work upfront, I think that would be the best long term solution to give users the ability to add their own repos.

Yes, that is absolutely the best approach.

I think there is an issue for that on Gitlab or they stated that this would be the goal.

I just added IzzyOnDroid to f-droid in like three minutes and I have never done it before.

Actually quite easy, go to IzzyOnDroid website and copy the repository link. Open f-droid and hit settings then touch "add additional sources of apps, the hit the green + at bottom left, paste the repository link for IzzyOnDroid. It will load and you will have a new repository switch.

Edit: You will need to install f-droid first. Most of us already have added f-droid and Aurora store for reliability. Keep in mind G00gle does not really care for our app store and don’t want to make it easy for us to use their store IMHO.

I also just added the newpipe repository to f-droid. On my PC I used my favourite search engine and searched “newpipe repository” I then scanned the QR code on the PC screen from f-droid.

I am glade I found this thread

BTW I do agree it would be nice to have this option in our App Store. But for now it is a sound work-around to use f-droid.
