Stop using BitDefender, we are not on Windows

faq does not read like this feature is source-dependant, see faq 14, 156 and 173 (but I might miss something)
It is also possible to get fairemail directly from github, works well and should be the most complete version in terms of available features (requires deinstall if old and reinstall of new version/source - previous backup of settings recommended)

Issue opened here relating to my post above.
Which bank, which app?
TIA!
Thank you but I think yes: look at the third last point of FAQ173 and at FairEmail | F-Droid - Free and Open Source Android App Repository:
Note that OAuth was not approved by Google, etc for the F-Droid build. For this youâll need to use the Play store version or the GitHub release
B.t.w.: I was authorized before oct 22.
Certainly! I did this on the previous phone. But what is the point of a store if I have to install and update manually?
Anyway: I think there should be an option in AppLounge (system-wide or per app).
Well, I rolled back to v1.6. There were bumps, as there always are with rolling back but I managed to overcome them. The Migrate apps helped a great deal and made things a lot easier. There was a learning curve and Migrate failed on really secure apps like Briar and Signal (both text apps), Clock (never found anything that could back up my alarms ) and one of the games (Cats and Soup) but for the most part, it restored everything properly. Some of the permissions werenât restored correctly and Migrate doesnât back up system settings but, all in all, a more positive rollback experience then I was expecting.
Hope you figure out the overlay issue and put out a new version soon. Iâll keep an eye on the change log for the fix and wonât upgrade until I see youâve fixed it.
Some links to Migrate on the Google Playstore that may help people who want to roll back. Itâs also installable from the App Lounge -
FP3+ v1.7r stable, not rooted.
Still seeing variable boot times as initially reported for v1.6r with the bouncing dot lasting from 10 seconds to over a minute.
Looks like itâs targeted for v1.9.

- Add the end of the update, I got a notification
Finishing the update
with a progress bar. I waited, but nothing happed. Did not disappear after rebooting several times. Although the progress bar changed back and forth after reboot. - AppLounge : When I update an app, it gets stuck after downloading. Apps ar not updated after reboot. Also updating one by one does not make a difference.

OTA update, seems OK on Fairphone 3 here.
It even seems Osmand starts faster, and its early convergence before getting GPS signal is way faster (tried in the same known wifi background). Citymapper still fails (like before indeed, I think it started crashing around v 1.6 or even v 1.5)
Since update this morning GPS is about 200 miles off.

Didnât check it (never needed to) but yes, that was the problem. Thank you very much!!
Updated via OTA on FP4 today.
Did not recognize any problems except for the new feature called WebCalendarManager.
When I try to add one, it says itâs âUnable to resolve hostâ, âNo address associated with hostnameâ. Tried different URLs on different Servers. Checked the availability of the url in the browser. Checked with VPN on and off. Checked with advanced privacy features on and off. Somehow itâs not able to resolve the host.
Iâm using a private nextcloud server and am not connected to e cloud. Could it be this?
Anyone experiencing the same?
Re the first two issues listed in your earlier post:
I donât know about the camera tile, but do use the setting under âSystem / Gestures / Quickly open cameraâ. Two quick presses of the on/off button opens the camera even when the screen is locked.
I bought my FP3+ with /e/os pre-installed and have 2 sims installed, both of which have always shown âunknown numberâ. (I read somewhere that this was to do with having moved my existing phone numbers onto the new sims thereby replacing the numbers originally assigned to them.)
As a semi alternative, if you have F-Droid, add the IzzyOnDroid repo to it. It essentially offers the github builds. This is how I obtain and update FairEmail on various ROMs.
Another thought - just checked in Camera app settings and under âMore camera controlsâ I have âShow camera when lockedâ checked. Maybe thatâs got turned off somehow?

When starting, sometimes entering PIN Code does not work (stays on PIN Code screen and entering PIN Code again brings nothing). Workarounf â Restart.
Issue happens around 20% of restarts.
Since update to /e/ 1.7 on my Samsung Galaxy A5 (a5y17lte), application âMessageâ (SMS) opens, but immediately crash and close when I select a message.
I tested to clean app cache, erase app data, and restart the phone, without success.
I used Message app for SMS perfectly on /e/ 1.6.
