All devices work very well with 2.6
and the Mi 9t runs very smoothly.

many many thanks to the developer team for the very good and hard work. :+1:

I am happy with e/os

What about other murena devices ?? Are FP4 and pixel tablet the only one from murena getting official ?? What about FP5 and murena One ? They were sold by /e/ and aren’t taged official ?

Apologies for replying to my own post, but I have an update

I found https://xdaforums.com/t/kernel-aosp-common-kernel-6-1-for-pixel-8a-android-15-qpr-1-updated-17-12-2024.4699848/ whilst awaiting any reply here, and performing the steps there allowed me to proceed.

Flashing e-2.6.3-u-20241217455570-community-akita.zip now.

I have just been abble to dirty-upgrade my FP3 with success and without /data loss
from “e-2.5-t-20241111446827-community-FP3” to “e-2.6.3-u-20241218455570-community-FP3”
using the “recovery-e” and “adb sideload” the last

clic here, to expand the used Dirty-Upgrade method

HowTo perform a dirty upgrade to “/e/OS-U” from a previous “/e/OS-T” version ?

→ it is as simple as a dirty update

download the file on a computer, boot the phone to the recovery mode and use “apply update” then “from ADB” :

Install platform-tools on a computer

Installing adb and fastboot on a Linux PC
Installing adb and fastboot on Windows PC

On the computer,

download the latest /e/OS-U “ota” build for your FP3
e-2.6.3-u-20241218455570-community-FP3.zip
(designed for update/upgrade, don’t unzip it, and put it into the platform-tools folder)
.

Boot the phone into recovery mode.

.
Select Apply Update,

then Apply from ADB

The screen should now change and the output at the bottom ask you to send the package from your computer.

On the computer,

Open a terminal from the /platform-tools folder (use the right click contextual menu of rhe mouse), and
issue command to sideload the latest /e/OS-U “ota” .ZIP

adb sideload e-2.6.3-u-20241218455570-community-FP3.zip

it will be very long
including a long time apparently stuck at 47%

On the computer the sideloading shows progress as a percentage figure that will stop at 47%. The phone will still be installing though (even though it might feel like nothing is happening )

the phone screen will be mostly blank with just the output at the bottom showing progress.

and you can expect to see the following screens

and on the computer :

it is done !

.

Tap Reboot system now to boot into eOS.

.

.

.

look like i cannot use anymore “files transfert” through USB to my PC running a debian based linux distribution

“Impossible d’importer la mise à jour locale” (impossible to import local upgrade).
I am trying this right? Downloading your last link and loading it with upgrade manager on the phone ?

My device is Samsung S10e (beyond0lte) on eOS 2.5-t, e-Recovery is installed. I want to upgrade to 2.6.3 by adb sideload. Flashing the 2.6.3
zip fails because an ERROR in recovery: “The current recovery does not seem to support dynamic partitions, pleas update.”
In the build downloads there is a recovery-e-2.6.3-u
img. How do I have to install it?

In doing an Android version upgrade it is always a good idea to consult the Lineage wiki which has this Upgrade LineageOS on beyond0lte | LineageOS Wiki.

Notice that for this device, the above page does include

Wipe your data partition

So you will need to ensure that you have a sound backup before proceeding.

You can follow the /e/OS install page Install /e/OS on a Samsung Galaxy S10e - “beyond0lte” and follow those methods to upgrade your recovery and then onward to the install of /e/OS.

The team can’t offer OS OTA upgrade for every devlce at the same time. Not even Samsung, etc. do that, atleast that is how I remember it couple years ago

Same error on beyond2lte S10+
The recovery should be part of the zip. You can check it if you unzip the file. I didn’t do this, but it should be included.

convert the “recovery-e.img” into a “.TAR” file,

flash it using Odin3-windows or Odin4-linux or Galaxy-Flasher, the ultimate graphical tool for Samsung devices

No abnormalities

PS: I had previously updated TWRP (now 3.7.1):. Now it always says “Failed to mount ‘/metadata’ (Invalid argument)”
but everything works, at least so far. I hope that the future OTAs will run normally.

Everything is fine except battery life. Since 2.5 (T) my battery drainage has at least doubled. Before 2.5 my battery lasted foe one full day (+/-), but since 2.5, including this build 2.6.3 (U) I have to charge my phone at least 3 times a day.

How is that possible
?

I think 2.6.2 is never officially released

To be honest, it’s a bit confusing to follow all the details of Android 14, official vs community, and /e/OS 2.6. Therefore, let me summarize whether I understood it correctly: I have a FP4 which currently runs on 2.5-t-20241108446629-official-FP4. In the next couple of days, an update notification should pop-up which then updates my FP4 to Android 14 and /e/OS 2.6. Is that correct? Just use the heart button if my understanding is right, thx :upside_down_face:

No,

(in minimum 20 signs),

I had the same error message when I switched to a different app while the local update was still being prepared. The second time I stayed on the updating screen and it worked (not sure if this was causal or mere correlation though)

It is very unclear, according to the release notes:

The following devices can be upgraded to Android 14 (apart from the Fairphone 4 and the Pixel Tablet which have an Official version, all the devices below are offered a Community version)

but the Fairphone 4 and Pixel Tablet has both Official and Community versions of /e/OS

OTA Upgrade for FP4 is still in test session i guess :

Maybe @Manoj can give us some clarity?

Maybe this can help:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/solution-how-to-delete-your-android-security-pin-pattern.3900664/

Nevertheless: Thanks for your post. I am also owning a Motorola One Action. So I know now that I have the deactivate the PIN before upgrading (Hope, that is the solution). But maybe I will wait for v2.7.
