Fairphone 3+

Update from v2.8-t-official to v2.9-t-official
Not rooted
Update completed in 41 minutes with no issues.
Initial testing of basic functions & apps shows these appearing to be working fine: wi-fi, mobile data, bluetooth, GPS, phone, message, mail, browser, camera, App Lounge (common apps) - search only so far (no updates), and various other apps.
The removal of the blurred background to the docked icons is a welcome improvement.
All looking good so far, thanks for the good work.
Exactly the same here as laust mentioned with
Vendor Name: Murena

Version of /e/OS or Stock which existed previously: 2.8
Is the device rooted / not rooted: Not
I noticed, that the āmicroG keeps stoppingā errors only pops up while having the location services switched on and using Magic Earth to navigate while driving. Is this behaviour the same on your FP5 or is the error message also popping up with location services switched off and Magic Earth terminated?

Upgrade OTA done successfully but since the 2.9 version, App Lounge donāt want to launch, white screen.
Vendor name Fairphone
Device name Fairphone 5
Version of / e / OS / 2.9-t-20250321478215-official-FP5
Recently I have a Fairphone 5 with e / OS. I notice that the battery runs out very quickly. Especially with music listening / podcast with headphones or speaker 12% per hour. Just check for messages or check the news quickly a few percent. In standby without active internet connection or bluetooth 10% in 9 hours
Thanks to other forum members, the battery now lasts longer.

All seems well here too. Battery life has improved. Many thanks to all.
Updating Pixel 5 from 2.8 to 2.9 stalls in the āFinializing package installationā step.
Regain your privacy! Adopt /e/OS the deGoogled mobile OS and online services
Thank you for the info.
Indeed it did solve on the FP4 and the S5E my issues.
I installed /e/os on my phone with this build : 2.9-a14-20250322478432-community-bramble
- Pixel 4a(5G)
- Bramble
- No precedent version as Iām a new user

- Device not rooted
For the moment I have 2 problems only :
- the camera crash when started will the phone is locked
- the battery doesnāt charge above 85%
Did you check charging limitation?
I didnāt found something related to limitation in the battery menu, how do you check this ?
Settings ā Battery there should be some sort of āCharging controlā.
I use German, hope I translated it correctly.
Hi,
I had it with several applications. Not sure anymore Magic Earth was one of them, but I related the problem to apps using location.
After fiddling with microg settings the issue seems gone, however I havenāt been methodical and changed several at once, so canāt tell which one did it.
on an /e/OS - Gigaset GS290
from 2.8-s to 2.9-s official
standard update successfull
thanks to /e/OS team.
Oh yes Charging Control is active ; from the explanation I thought this was related to slow charge at night for example.
Iāll try without it.
I have found a small bug.
if you change the grid display from 4x5 to 4x6, the previously created folders disappear. if you change back, the folders are there again.
Not charging until 100% is good, it harms your battery. A bit lower is best
