I have just updated to /e/OS 2.9 A14. The IMAP and SMTP password was set to the app password of my phone. Email download was not possible. After setting it to the main password (even with 2FA), the email download was possible again.
So there may be currently a bug that email access is only possible with the main password if 2FA is active?
EDIT: The mail app password is reset to the murena.io app password (i.e., the main password deleted) if the Murena account is synchronized unless the mail synchronization is deactivated in the Murena account settings of your smartphone.
According to the bug ticket Mail password overwritten by Account manager password, even if they are different accounts (#8607) · Issues · e / Backlog · GitLab, you also have to make sure that the most current email app version is installed: Just update it via App Lounge.

I upgrade my critique on App Lounge. I just noticed coincidentally that several open source apps have not been updated for up to 12 months, which is unacceptable. So I am again dependent on f-droid being installed additionally and manually updating all open source apps. Very unsatisfying. Anyone else with that problem? Can someone open/update a ticket on Gitlab?
Thx, got email working. Initially the app did not take my pw as it absolutly needs my e.email as username and not the murena.io address.

Same issue with email app from private domain + nextcloud.
May be time to switch to thunderbird mail, an update that change password to email account is totally unexpected !
Since the update, device has been working well however I noticed that usb has been locked inside of the developer options which threw me a bit. I had to click enable usb debugging again in order to transfer files as all options were blacked out without enabling usb debugging.

Wtf mail app resets the murena login password back to the non-working app password. So after some hours mail app shows auth. failed error.
Anything can happen with an update, even if it shouldnât.

Hi, iâm waiting for the 2.9 release (A14 version) of xiaomi 10t lite (Gauguin). It was already released as A14 on official LineageOS
Mail APP keeps on crashing, also with build version 6.711-2 
My phone received a ânew system update availableâ notice a few days ago. When trying to update/install, download seems to complete but actual install process stops there and hangs with screen as shown/attached below. Have rebooted and re-attempted the process several times without success.

The navigation bar in the bottom is elevated about 1.5cm when holding the Tablet in Landscape. This covers the buttons needed in several apps. When holding the Tablet in Portrait, all is ok.
I guess you are using BlissLauncher, you could delete the storage if you didnât before. That will order everything a new and might fix your problem.

We do not have maintainers for these devices and are dependent on upstream code which we had some issues with while compiling. The team will try to get it to build, if that works we will release, else we have to push these builds to the next release which would be v2.10
