Fantastic guide!
I followed it and with the help of some kind souls I was able to recover my Pixel 5 with eOS 3.0.1

A thing you should know about the voice to text feature. It is based on Open AI. Even if your data is anonymized, Open AI still get your voice message in which you can say personnal or sensitive informations.
It is important to know and /e/OS don’t communicate much on that.
So be careful of what you say when using this feature.
And by the way, this is a very questionable choice from Murena, I mean … Open AI.
I have to admit I lost a bit of trust on Murena with that one.

e-3.0.1 image is not suitable for sideloading in case of Murena Two. It is not the version with META-INF subdir and payload.bin, but rather a set of partitions (*.img files) + a bash script to flash everything
An attempt (to sideload) results in the following cascade of errors:

Did you notice / were you able to follow the instruction to right click on the

IMG-e-3.0.1-xxx-etc-filename-full-url

now edit the url to remove IMG- →

e-3.0.1-xxx-etc-filename-full-url

This second url should lead to the correct file being downloaded.

However checking I find there is no 3.0.1 build right now at /e/OS official two download

I guess Withrawn – the Fairphone 3.0.1 builds are all missing from that source too.

No problems so far.

Find my Device
Just gave it a try and activated and tried it.
I have no idea why it doesn’t activate GPS Location if it is off.
Could it be done in the future?

So the SMS sent back just states “no Location possible at the moment”.
If GPS is enabled it works well.

So for the moment I use “Automate app” for checking incoming SMS
with the used password and if password is given GPS is enabled by
Automate app and loction sent back via SMS.

To be honest: I could do a script without “find my Device”, but I know
also the problem that not every android version/phone is supported
for enabling GPS. At the moment it works

I need help quickly. I try to update with 3.0.1 version but I’ve got error message : “ERROR : recovery: logical partitions are mapped. Please reboot recovery before installing an oTA update.”
Install completed with status 1.
Installation aborted.

Please, I don’t want to brick my smartphone.
