Please do not post information or links to /e/OS test builds on the forum.
The test builds are as yet untested and under development, and may in some cases cause user devices to soft brick.
Such information can confuse other users who do not see these builds in the updater.
Remember not all users who come to this forum are experts in installing and formatting custom ROMs and can end up seriously damaging their devices by trying out these test builds
If you are genuinely interested in helping with the testing activities and also understand how to fix and do some minor level of testing on custom ROMS, you are welcome to join the testing team

I would like to give some feedback for Samsung Galaxy S10+ beyond2lteusers. As stated in other threads the update to eOS 3.0 is broken but this affects only the U (14) version of the OS. The T version updates smoothly without any issue. Have fun updating.
Fairphone | FP3+ | FP3 | previously on e-2.9-a14-20250323478432-community-FP3 | not rooted
Update to 3.0 (this is not the one to A15 yet) went smooth and quick as every other recent update (for me). No visual changes noticed yet. Only activity so far: One app update (DB Navigator) via App Lounge which at first impression was completed very, very quickly.
3.0 community (A14 and A13 a.k.a. U and T) is available for FP3, FP4 and FP5, but 3.0 official is not (yet). and in the meantime official has already become availabe for alle three devices, too (no A14 for FP3 yet).
Version of /e/OS or Stock which existed previously: 2.9 officiel
Not rooted
I turned the FP5 off and then back on again. It rebooted in recovery mode after applying the following settings:
Application trackers: blocked
Locations: blocked
IP addresses hidden
Sadly the battery drain is really fast. ~5min 1% goes. I’ll charge it and see if still gets this drain. It’s community but I don’t know if I’ll be able to use it
Vendor Name: Google
Device name: Pixel 5
Device CodeName: Redfin
Previous Version of /e/OS: 2.9-t Official
Version of /e/OS: 3.0-t Official
Device: Not rooted
Still Android 13. What was the point in upgrading?
Battery drain has gone insane. Presently, 1% a minute. I shall do the now usual cache clearing and reboot ya-da-ya-da.
The animation isn’t as smooth either and UI is sluggish. Which will probably be corrected by the aforementioned process.
I’m not upgrading the OS again until A15 or whatever is replacing A13 is included in the update. I am fed up waiting for a couple of features I really want.
Anyhoo’s, Thanks again to everyone for their work, despite my complaining I do respect your endeavours and the project as a whole.
Uh what’s find my device? Is Murena tracking my location? Does it use this fmd-foss / FMD Android · GitLab ? And if yes, will it conflict with an already set up system? @Manoj
90hz display mode in officially sold Fairphone 5 still dysfunctional. This issue first came up over a year ago and was temporarily fixed and returned over half a year ago.
/e/ version: 3.0-t stable
Device model(s):FP5
Developer mode enabled: no
Device rooted: no
Trackers blocker enabled: yes
Is it possible to downgrade our Samsung smartphones from Android 14 to Android 13 without reinstalling everything to benefit from e os 3.0 ?
Is there a fix planned in the near future for Android 14 ?
Thanks
Lost your device? If your device is cellular-enabled, you can now get its geolocation by sending a password via SMS!
Anyone know if that requires me to have Location activated to work or will sending the password activate Location if necessary? “cellular-enabled” sounds a bit like there’s hope for the latter.
