You need to explain that you use a mac. Or you get wrong instructions.
Just upgraded to e-3.0-s-20250529496538-community-emerald and need the current boot.img for Magisk.
In the past boot.img was found in the archive. Itās not in the current archive.
Anyone know where it can be found now?

i used this to try and install adb: Install ADB Setup on macOS Device
but it doesnāt work, I donāt get an exe file
Proper ZIP used this time. Result:
Windows 10 Konsole (cmd.exe
):
C:\Users\pswia\devel\Andro\e-OS\M2>adb sideload e-3.0.1-t-20250606498724-official-two.zip
Total xfer: 1.00x
C:\Users\pswia\devel\Andro\e-OS\M2>
Recovery on the phone good, too:
Sadly, no change in dm verity
:
Seems this thing needs something special to combat. Sure enough, the slot changed now (B to A in this case).
Sorry, but itās s**t.
Factory reset or not ?
Thanks a lot ! A complete guide
Working again on FP5.
What do you mean? Are you unable to execute the procedure as described?
Yes I execute the procedure but Iāve got this message: āERROR : recovery: logical partitions are mapped. Please reboot recovery before installing an oTA update.ā
I donāt know what to do ? reboot ?
I downloaded this version: https://test.ota.ecloud.global/official/FP4/e-3.0.1-a14-20250607498722-official-FP4.zip
Looks like some Recovery
failure. You are sure youāre booted into Recovery
, though. Right?
Yes. Iām in the recovery screen on my FP4.
Yeah⦠my mistake, I took the wrong image. Itās been corrected since. The update went correctly. But I wonder: can you send any link that would lead to the testing
branch update/install image?
This seems a benign message. Part of Recoveryās job is to map partitions; this job seems done ok.
Reboot recovery is probably required because of a perception of changes; so Recovery wants to be refreshed.
Reboot recovery should be an option you can reach from the menu.
On my device found under Advanced.
Ok guys, I see step 1/2 and step 2/2 and install completed with status 0. I think itās good. I tried many times to update.
I will reboot. I will be crazy.
impossible, on my mac, this is what I see in āterminalā @ordi-fano platform-tools % ./adb sideload e-3.0.1-t-20250606498706-official-FP5.zip
adb: failed to stat file e-3.0.1-t-20250606498706-official-FP5.zip: No such file or directory
Is the success message.
Reverse the IMG-
change; so https://test.ota.ecloud.global/official/two/IMG-e-3.0.1-t-20250606498724-official-two.zip will be an install ROM. (Tested the link and a 1.3G ROM downloaded looks about right.)
In case there is still doubt @pswiatki (I donāt understand if you ask for something you need in Post#248)
IMG-e-3.0.1-t-20250606498724-official-two.zip
is an install ROM with install script 1.3Ge-3.0.1-t-20250606498724-official-two.zip
is an OTA_PACKAGE 1.1G
It is accepted practice here that the prefix IMG tells us that the file is an Install package containing a flash-script.sh
Ok, the 3.0.1 update works for me. I had the scare of my life that my device would be locked. I will not do this kind of manipulation again. I will wait to perform the update via my device. Please, Murena team find another less risky solution next time, because I almost went crazy. For the next updates, I will wait before performing them quickly. Thank you to the Murena team for providing us with a solution quickly, but please, verify the updates before providing them to production. This kind of thing can harm your business.
Regards.
When you change directory to platform-tools you have access to adb
.
You do not seem to have access to
e-3.0.1-t-20250606498706-official-FP5.zip: No such file or directory
Please try moving a copy of e-3.0.1-t-20250606498706-official-FP5.zip
into the platform-tools
directory.
Misunderstanding. I know I could get a different type of ZIP. What I am looking for is how the path to testing
is constructed (i.e. I believe the word official
in the name of the ZIP is suggesting it isnāt testing
)⦠Well, although when I think about it deeper - maybe the ZIP name is misleading and the one with IMG- removed from the front is actually considered testing
. If so, it is really a bad naming concept, Iād say
