@Manoj, please check this. This is likely the reason Revolut get broken on 3.0 , verified boot state is orange while It should be green. There are basically few major check custom rom should have before release and this is one of them. Instead focus on how to find my device you are shooting “your self in leg” in Murena how make life of e os user more hard then needed. Status was green before. I was repeating about sustainable quality but obviously “you” didn’t get it. Neither you have intention to. I was supporting you, but I can’t any more. This what you do with releases and features and how you act after about server failure is bad. Sorry…

After the update to 3.01, some apps in APP Lounge and Aurora are displayed as “not available for my device” and therefore cannot be installed (e.g. onlyoffice).
Aurora Store and App Lounge both presented me briefly that a new session had to be initiated (DE: „Neue Sitzung wird angefordert”) and since then the issue is there again and persistent. There are now hardly any apps that can be installed or updated.
There is still a problem with this and the Fairphone 5 on /e/ 3.0.1-a14!
Fairphone FP3, not rooted, updated from 2.9 official → 3.0 official
I see others had issues with that, but GPS seems to work
I have issues with multiple apps losing internet access which may or may not be related to push messaging
Signal and Whatsapp both lose connection, this is mostly resolved after rebooting, until it happens again
App lounge seems mostly unable to access internet, on occasions after several reboots I am able to search for an app and install an update but that doesn’t last long
Banking apps do not like that, Vipps stopped working (see here for similar issue) and NordeaID is not working consistently
Other apps e.g. Fennec or the default Browser are working fine, so the problem is not a lack of internet access as a whole
I cannot reproduce the issue as I do not know what triggers it and do not always realize it is occurring (e.g. don’t receive messages for several hours)
It does not seem to be linked to the network source
Neither is it linked to whether or not a VPN is active
Not receiving messages felt it could be linked to microG push notifications, but disabling or enabling those didn’t affect anything
It started occurring within hours after updating to 3.0
I never saw something like that in the 5 years I’ve been using e/OS on this device so I’m pretty sure it’s linked to the update. I would appreciate some fix, I don’t mind some quirks but now I’m effectively not reachable and that’s a bigger problem.
My App lounge is also a bit on and off but one thing have I found out:
Those times I am able to browse or search for apps, I am NEVER able to download (stuck on “Cancel”) any apps with Tailscale VPN connected. If I disconnect Tailscale, taps on “Cancel” and then “Install”, download and installation runs great every time.
****Update:
SeedVault doesn’t work and it’s crashing. Tried to clear cache of it and force stop, and also Clear Internal Storage at the same time, and it’s still crashing after trying to make backup (also after verification of the seed phrase). At the same time, tried to clear Cache partition after restart, still crashing.
First just checking, is there any chance that your destination folder is out of space or become unavailable ?
I see that your device came from e-2.1-r. In which Android version was Seedvault established? It is said that Seedvault is only really running nicely by the GUI from AOSP 13 (T).
Personally I would start a whole new backup from scratch. If the backup is to SD card I would invest in a new SD card.
I never did backup on android 11, before updating. Only interested in backups after last update 3.1. I bought new 64GB dedicated SD card 5 minutes before tried to back up. Also, tested the card if it copies 3 gigs of movies from the camera, and it did. It just doesn’t work, tried multiple times and always after fails, cleared all the cache and internal of this program before staring another try. My current Android is 12 after the update (Galaxy S7 herolte 3.01v of /e/OS).
***Update:
Now, tried 3 different locations to make backup. SD card, internal, and external USB OTG Sandisk pendrive. It doesn’t crash, but says “Initialization localization backup” and then on the red error, after “this make take some time”. Error cannot access to localization for the backup. Tried as I said 3 different storages: Micro SD Card, USB pendrive, internal storage.
***Update2:
After I ignore error, it makes copy after I click on three dots right corner “Make backup”. So it’s working. I don’t know why it crashed before.
***Update3:
Not working, it hangs on 20% for 4 hours.
Clear the caches of both apps. And if that doesn’t help clear also the entire storage data of both apps. These installers are awkward. (Clearing it’s caches can also be needed after some weeks of not using them.)
It can’t be told often enough: it’s indeed a good idea to clear the caches of all apps (including system apps) after each OS update. As long as this has not been done several diffuse malfunctions can happen: connection errors, battery drain, app crashes. I always run CacheCleaner (from F-Droid) once for all apps after an OS update.
Sorry, I didn’t mention, I did all that. It just stopped working.
My 3.0.1-a14 install was a fresh install and it just worked about 24 hours. Since then it stopped working, absolutely irrespective of what I’m doing. Clearing cache, data, etc. all does not change anything.
I don’t have a Revolut account, but checked for you if it installs and it did. After first time running it, it complains about bootloader and suggest installing official “software” from the manufacturer on your phone on the black screen. Installed from App Lounge today.
Hi,
I can also confirm that the latest update has broken Revolut app. I’ve tried clearing storage but still get error when trying to login. Hope it gets resolved soon as I can’t make a repayment for my credit card now and will probably get late payment fees for missing deadline.
