Yeah, the release itself (software finished) is there, but not all builds yet. It’s a staggered release, so that they are able to catch some last-minute regressions.
The v3.2 release has started. It is a staggered release as always. We would release builds for a couple of devices (selected randomly) every day.
Release dates are from 28 Oct to 3 Nov.
For those who are new to /e/OS the reason behind the staggered releases:
We prefer to publish a small subset of builds as the number of devices supported is 200 +.
Releasing all of them at the same time would overwhelm the servers, besides impact download speeds.
It also gives us an opportunity, based on use…
As a practice we release Official builds a couple of days after the Community build has rolled out. This is to check for any inconsistencies that QA may have missed in the testing process.
And yes, the official build will also be released in the same mentioned timeline.
