Iā€™m not enterely sure about the build, I think A15 but might have been on A14. Since I did a factory reset I cannot retrace that info.
All I can say now is that after the reset and clean install, A15 works for me without issues so far.

The Edge 30 is a dual-SIM; after entering the first SIM code, the phone freezed. This also happened when removing one SIM card. When removing both SIM cards, I got a bit further: I could enter the swipe pattern, but then nothing happens (a blank screen with only the ā€˜backā€™ arrow).

After clean installing A15 is it working for you now.

I tried to reboot several times and then changed manually to the other bootslot and it did not worked.

I downgraded to dubai 3.2 via adb sideload and it did not worked again.

Unfortunately, I had to factory reset (with dubai 3.2 installed) because I needed a working phone. Sorry.

To clarify, is the max brightness issue persistent after a reboot?

Asking because I had this issue on a previous upgrade (I donā€™t remember which) but it resolved with a reboot.

Hi!

Thanks for that hint. Indeed (even several) reboots didnā€™t do the trick, but a complete POWER-OFF and then boot again ā€œrepairedā€ the problem! The max brightness problem is gone!

No problem. Iā€™m trying to remember now if I did a full power off or not. Sometimes I do that because I donā€™t fully trust reboots, but thatā€™s usually for Windows. So probably not?

Anyway either way good that itā€™s fixed!

The upgrade proceeded quickly and without any issues. Everything that worked before ā€“ it seems ā€“ continues to work for now.

I have already pointed out that since the update from 3.2ā€‘A14 to 3.2ā€‘A15, the Proton Drive app does not work; when I try to open it, it crashes immediately. This bug was not fixed with the 3.3 update.
I kindly ask the developers to resolve this problem!

Yes, Iā€™ve tried everythingā€”clearing the appā€™s data and cache, uninstalling it, and reinstalling it. As I mentioned in my feedback about the 3.2 update, I exchanged several emails with Proton support, tested multiple alpha versions of the app as well, and we concluded that the problem lies with the /e/OS system.
I just posted the bug report on GitLab.

With this we should be able to see if there are 2 boot slots. If not then I donā€™t know if you could adb sideload older version. Or need to flash older recovery and then sideloadā€¦

I am in the same position, Edge 30 but on A14. I have not tried to any recovery attempts yet. Will report progress following the same steps.

Tried so far:

adb sideload 3.3 a14 and same issue.

adb sideload 3.3 a15 but now I get a15 older timestamp so can not progress :person_facepalming:

So factory reset and sideloading 3.3. a15 it is ā€¦ now I am in, but now I will have to spend hours to get it back to where I was :disappointed_face:

Full shutdowns can at least help with networking or GPS hickups on smartphones better than simple reboots do. So trying this canā€™t hurt :+1: .
