:backhand_index_pointing_right: To report issues with the build or applications raise an issue on gitlab. Ideally first discuss the issue here and check if users of the same device on this build are having the same issue.

When sharing your feedback or issues, Please add the following details

  • Vendor Name

  • Device name

  • Device CodeName

  • Version of /e/OS or Stock which existed previously

  • Is the device Rooted / Not rooted

  • This thread has been created specifically for posting information on official and community /e/OS builds.

Since we are in December, I imagine 3.3 will include the December Android security patches. Right?

Yes. We are moving the release to next week to include the December security patches.

Why have you created this topic so soon? Wouldn’t it be normal to post it once v3.3 is released?

Seeing a topic live should mean release (of builds) has initiated or is imminent. Maybe I’m wrong ?!

The decision to move the release to next week was taken after the creation of the post. All the same it is good to give users a bit of an advance notice. Plus, in this case there is a reason for the postponement.

is Fairphone 4 Camera-App included again (was not part of last release anymore)?

Could you please check if the toggle in Settings > Apps > Fairphone Camera is turned off? Are you able to turn it back on and reboot device to have it enabled again.

Are you on the community or the official build? For the Fairphone 5 the Fairphone camera app became exclusive to the official build at one point, I am not sure anymore if that also applies to the Fairphone 4.

To find out which build you are on, have a look into Settings > About this phone > /e/ OS version

Good point.

The FP4 official build is on A14 and on /e/OS device trees and would have the stock FP camera.

The FP4 community is on A15 and on LOS device trees and does not have the stock FP camera.

Is the release started? I’ve seen already 3 votes for v3.3 but the “Release Note - will show up once the release is initiated” is not updated.

I guess the votes are coming from users on the test channel (beta versions).

thank you for the information. would it be then possible to offer the FP camera as seperate apk-download (a15-compatible) for the community channel? I already tried to extract it from an official build, but it did not run. i am on the community channel.

by the way: what would happen to the current settings if i would try to downgrade from community to official? (mainly because of the FP-camera)

Not sure that is possible as the build trees are separate but will check with the developers and get back.
Also it would be for Fairphone to decide if their stock camera can be released as a standalone apk.

Switching from community to official and vice versa is a new install including a data wipe.

Revolut works on 3.2 so it shall work in 3.3 as well
