Feedback for v3.4

Most probably dumb question, but is your screen on - or even unlocked - when trying to validate your tickets?

where did you get 3.4 for avicii?
I was just about to post about an avicii that is still on 3.1 and not getting any new updates… nothing is listed on the download page

EDIT: ah wait, I understand, you’re still on android 12 (/e/OS S)

/e/OS official avicii download

also exist :

/e/OS community avicii download

these will be dropped soonā„¢, cf. Week 05, 2026: Development and Testing Updates

Reformatting the sdcard from the phone and writing the PC-made backup back onto it did indeed help. Also, I can workaround the non-functional music app by simply using a different app.

A real issue remains the inability to control the volume of bluetooth loudspeakers though. I can also confirm the other reports here that battery charging is a lot slower now on the Teracube 2e. I used to have slow and fast charging cables. I only chose the latter when time was an issue. If the slow charging power is a deliberate decision made by software, then we should be able to turn it off.

In addition to the points above, I am missing a setting to automatically stop charging at a certain battery level (say 80 %) to actually improve the longevity of the battery. I thought Android 15 had this feature, which my /e/OS is now based on.

Indeed. This is a known issue since the /e/ release on FP6. A ticket has been opened on Gitlab:

This was supposed to be fixed along 3.4, but unfortunately it wasn’t the case. There’s no workaround nor any way to fix this manually as far as I know.
Moreover, no dev has comment this issue yet, so I’m not sure if it’s handled or not. The best advice is to comment yourself the issue and add your car model and year….

Let me check for an update from the team on FP6 issues with bluetooth

Update: The team has identified a fix for this issue and would be releasing it as part of the next release :crossed_fingers:

I also tried idf mobilite yesterday on my s10e, didn’t work either. Yes I tried with screen on, unlocked, app (both idf mobile and bonjour RATP) in full screen, successively with only one installed. I even tried without my protective case :joy:
Thanks for the link to the forum ; so it seems it comes from an incompatibility of mes tickets Navigo app with the most recent version of microG, right? Would make sense with the fact that it worked in 3.3.
Well, will need to use the card.
FYI this issue also occurred with my stock android Sony Xperia 1 VI, running Android 16 if I remember well. The problem started precisely after updating to android 16 from 15.

OK…then yes no other solutions than using the card…and yep seems that t’s linked to microg incompatibility, but as you had it also for a stock android ROM, not completely sure…

Hi, is anyone on 3.4 with fp6 and is using the n26 just fine?

After updating to 3.4, my phone seems not to recognize my SIM car anymore. Everything else works, except it does not ā€œseeā€ the SIM. When I put that SIM in an older Pixel phone on stock android, it works flawlessly.

  • e/os version: 3.4 official (freshly updated from 3.3 official)
  • phone: Fairphone 6
  • country: Switzerland (if this can help)

This is a major problem. Everything else works fine, Moments is a very welcome addition for me, a couple of minor banking apps do currently not work anymore but this was expected and I can find ways around this. But having my FP6 essentially only working as a wifi device and having to rely on an older android phone for basic call and messages functionality is a bummer.

Hopefully a solution and an update can be found soon.

Hi there,

One issue I’m facing is the difficulty to configure the system ntfy. The activation toggle completely disappeared, so I can’t disable it. I can’t use another ntfy as it creates problems with some apps (Tusky, mainly, I should report a bug there).

Using an activity manager, I was able to access the ntfy app and its settings. Changing the server url works fine, however I can’t add an authenticated user. The app stops whenever I try to access the setting.

I’ve been trying setting the app through f-droid then importing settings, but since the app is minified, settings names are changed to ā€œaā€, ā€œbā€, etc, and I wasn’t able to figure the names that would work. (in that regard, getting this r8-map-id that /e/os is using for Sentry could be useful).

Welp, getting back the setting to disable the system ntfy would be great.

Thanks

  • Vendor Name: Teracube

  • Device name: Teracube 2e

  • Device CodeName: zirconia

  • Version of /e/OS or Stock which existed previously: \e\ 3.3 official (A12)

  • Is the device Rooted / Not rooted: not rooted

Synopsis: upgrade (seemingly successfully) performed with proper boot to 3.4. The device later crashed and could only be booted with all user data erased through the recovery option.

Some details: The upgrade itself seemingly went normally, and I was able to use the phone for about half a day. The first symptom was that it could not hold a voice call for more than about 50 seconds. I got disconnected randomly in the 5s-50sec interval.

The device crashed at some point and could not boot. It offered recovery by erasing all user data. I had to do that and the device booted successfully. This was 2 days ago. I began reinstalling my apps. Seems to be working, but a random reboot (crash?) occurs infrequently during use, seemingly triggered by some innocent operation like using a drop-down menu.

I can also report the slow charging issue mentioned here earlier (and that the download of the upgrade was extremely slow with multiple interruptions).

Since the update, the tasks app no longer works properly. When I open it, the info bar at the top starts flashing and the Tasks app soon crashes. I have therefore recently started using the app from the Murena Workspace. The app works a little differently here than usual, and in my opinion, it’s much easier to use. However, I naturally have no access to locally stored tasks from the workspace.

Furthermore, the planning app I need for work is no longer functioning properly. The screen often freezes during use, and I have to turn the display off and on again and restart the app.

Oh yes - and it took a very long time to download the update for me too, with five interruptions.

I’m using a Fairphone 6 that I ordered directly from Murena. I’m sorry - I do not have sufficient expertise to provide further information about my device.

The issue with the tasks app was detected post the release of v3.4. As mentioned in the above link , an update of Tasks was released in the app lounge. A user mentioned adding permissions to Tasks also helped.

I didnt get the offer, where i can force it or get the pk?

A second point is that davx implementation didnt work proper. If i try to edit or create a connection then the ui shows for a moment and close in background (unresponsible).

Any ideas for eos3.4?

Hello,
/e/OS on FP4 has a long-standing issue with Teams which also affects 3.4, as can be seen here: High-pitched voices with Teams (was Skype) on FP4 with /e/OS 3.3 (#7790) Ā· Issues Ā· e / Backlog Ā· GitLab

That gitlab issue was created on Feb 2024 but pre-existed in forums.

A solution for what apparently seems to be a similar (if not identical) issue on LineageOS was mentioned from a user in that gitlab issue on Jan 16th 2026 and now it would be good to know from a /e/OS developer if that solution is viable or not for /e/OS or, in general, what will be needed to (eventually) solve that issue for /e/OS on FP4.

What would be the way to have some detailed feedback on this one from the /e/OS development team (or from anyone else)?

Thank you

Generally ask on gitlab in an existing issue.

The banking application? Yes, absolutely fine.
