Fingerprint reader not working

I have a Teracube from Murena. As it was broken I sent it back for repairs and got a replacement. Unfortunately it seems there is an issue with the fingerprint reader. I can’t find any settings for it, see attached screenshot. The OS version is 3.2

I searched the discusson board and my findings suggested this a hardware problem. Is that the case or could it also be a software issue that can be fixed?

I got two Teracube replacement phones from Murena (the first one having a microphone down, I had to request another one). Both of them have the same lack of fingerprint reader.

After getting in touch with the support, I first was offered to collect the phone and replace it but then I was asked to provide logs, because it might be a bug. Don’t know if that means the phone will still be replaced. Just sent the logs and waiting for feedback :man_shrugging:

I had exactly the same issue as I reported here:

I hoped It was a software problem, but after two versions (same on 3.5) the problem is still here so, I have to conclude is a hardware issue.
The real problem is that many Teracube 2e Phone seam to have the same issue, so the substitution may not solve it!
What to do?

After some extended back and forth with the Murena support, it became clear that it was not a software problem and I got a replacement for the replacement with a functioning fingerprint reader.

So all in all I am happy that I got a functioning phone again, but as almost half a year passed since I initiated the request for a replacement, I have to say that the Murena support has some room for improvement, especially regarding timeliness.
