Recently switched from iPhone to FP6. Messaging app receives and sends all commercial messages, but not to or from my iPhone contacts. Is there a setting I need to adjust?
maybe your carrier tries to do so per RCS when people are replying - unaware that it would need to drop to SMS. Are these group messages or 1:1 ?
I also had bother with this. It may be because yoru iphone contacts are on iMessage, and may only be receiving SMS from you from your Apple ID. If you still have your old iphone, try accessing settings > messages, then turn iMessages off.
If not, try logging into icloud.com with your Apple ID and then see if you can find the option to turn iMessage off. Once it’s off, they may wish to try re-adding you as a contact on their side too.
I also found that the FOSS messages app works better for group messages. Then again, there’s always Signal
