Are there any implications with regards to US government access to user data? As far as my limited understanding goes, organizations operating in the United States are obliged to comply with data requests and wouldn’t even be allowed to disclose that fact if faced with such a request. Since e-cloud isn’t end-to-end encrypted (yet), it would be nice to know what this means for users inside and outside the US.
That being said I’m really excited for what I presume will be the long-rumored tablet. The term sustainability in the announcement even raises some hope for a collaboration with Fairphone in that space!
