GPS and location services do not work on murena Tablet

I bought a murena Tablet a few days ago and just realized today that the GPS and Location services are not working. The Magic Earth app gives a warning “no location”, and other apps that rely on location do not get a location from the device. This is somewhat odd because the device should have GPS as well as wifi and bluetooth location services.

I note that all of the location settings in the microG settings are turned on, and after going through all the location settings, nothing seems to be turned off. Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this? Or is this just another major bug with the Tablet that murena is selling?

Did you turn location services on? Edit: I mean the pull down button “Location” .

Is assisted GPS feature is on ?

Please show screenshot of the settings pages you already checked… (there are more than three about GPS…)

I also have a Murena Pixel tablet (/e/OS V. 2.7). The location detection works perfectly here, even with ‘Magic Earth’. So it can’t be a fundamental problem.

After rechecking all settings and restarting the tablet several times, GPS and location services still didn’t work. I have another device running e/OS that works, so I know what the settings should be.

However… after leaving for work and coming back 8 hours later, it magically was working when I returned (without a new restart). I have no idea how I can debug this now that it is working, and especially since I did nothing to make it work! If this happens again, I will provide more details.
