Help installing unofficial build on newer Samsung

Hi,
I want to install one of Ronnz98’s unofficial eOS builds on a Samsung S20FE (code r8q).
Although the phone is nearly four years old, installation apparently will not work via adb or Heimadall. I have also tried with the Galaxy-Flasher tool without luck.
The lineage OS install instructions provided by Ronnz98 have a step that involves building a Lineage OS installation package. My question is, do I need to follow this step? Has this already been done by Ronnz98 in the eOS .zip file that i have downloaded?
Here are the instructions referred to by Ronnz98: Info about r8q | LineageOS Wiki

And here is the thread with the unofficial build:

Sorry for my newb lack of understanding. My old phone had instructions for an official build and installation on the Tablet I am typing on could be easily done by typing commands with adb.
I do not want to try anything without being sure of the correct steps to take. If anyone can recommend an idiot-proof way to go ahead, or even an alternative degoogled ROM I will be very grateful.

Try this please:

I have the S20 Exynos series and it is mandatory to flash VBmeta. I only could do this with Windows Odin, but it might work also with respective linux odin…but not with heimdall as far as I know

OK I see as part of Step 5, I think …

Build a LineageOS installation package. The recovery will be built as part of it!

I expect that you can use this method to extract your recovery.img and vbmeta.img from the ROM.

Thanks for the help :grinning:
I am away for xmas, so have not tried anything yet. but that means i should be able to use my dad’s windows computer.
I will read through the first two suggestions tonight and give them a try tomorrow if he lets me.
The final suggestion seems to be the same link that i referred to where i am not sure whether to build an installation package or not. What did you mean for me to do?
If i do get a chance to try tomorrow, I will let you know how I get on
