Hide my email feature

**mobileservices**In the snappy mail, I can use the hide my email service.

When creating a new email, you can then change the sender address to that of hide my email.

Strangely enough, there is no way to do this on the /e/ email app.

Whereas with an email programme such as Fairmail, I can change the identity.

This allows me to use the hide function.

In the default Mail app this is changed with

Mail app > Settings > Accounts, your_@e.emai > Sending mail > Manage identities > top right 3 dot menu > New identity.

Is there a service to get a random mail address which is redirected to your own mail ? That would be a great service, if this function is implemented in the mail app with an easy access through one button.

Up to now I use a 10-minute-mail from time to time. This new feature would make it easy to correspond with dubious online shops.

Not exactly, but there is one single predefined alias available in the settings of your murena account (online/webmail), it is called “hide my email”.
To make use of it from smartphone or PC you need to set up this alias in the account settings of your app or desktop-software.

  • So on murena it is direct available , in the /e/app you have set up an alias for it .
Why not the same as in snappy mail
