Hello I’m using e.email and am unable to send email to
xxxxxxxx@hotmail.co.uk I have always been able to send to that address, I am able to send to other contacts
I can send email to myself dose anyone else have the same problem?
Here is copy of returned mail.

We are facing an issue with MS mail servers at the moment. We are working on resolving the issue.

Also, when running your own mailserver you should take into account that you could run into problems with sending mails to specific providers. Especially Microsoft is hard to handle here. They use the bad practice of banning whole IP subnets when they detect malicious activities like spam. So if one of your VPS neighbors in the same IP subnet sends spam, Microsoft will also automatically ban you. If you are lucky, mails to domains like @outlook.com or @hotmail.com will get rejected with a notice which will allow you to further take actions. But it also happens that Microsoft blackholes mails and in this scenario your mails will not arrive without you even noticing it. A solution for this would be to use a trusted SMTP-relay for specific recipients.

For a quick and future-proof workaround, I can recommend you https://www.mailjet.com/ as a SMTP relay, they also offer a 20% discount for NGOs.

Forwarding in Postfix can easily be setup with a transport map at /etc/postfix/transport

My Gmail account is still active but haven’t used it for a while.
So I setup Gmail account manually in fairemail app and was able to send email to xxxxxxxx@hotmail.co.uk.
I’m using /e/OS on my phone.

Hello, I had the same message today with a @hotmail.com email address.
Is the issue with MS mail server still going on ?

The cloud team has been informed about this. They will be contacting MS and seeking an revoke of the ban. Will update if I get any inputs.
