Hi all, I’m still running /e/OS 1.21 on my FP4, the update to 2.0 doesn’t show up anymore. I didn’t have time to upgrade when it came out, then a while ago the updater stopped showing any possible upgrade.
How do I get to the newer versions now? I guess at first I have to update to 2.0, then 2.1 and so on. But how can I update to 2.0 in the first place?
Btw my phone is rooted using Magisk, but that didn’t prevent the updater to show newer versions before. Maybe it has to do with Murena having been hacked?
Clearing cache and storage of the updater didn’t resolve the issue, neither did deactivating Advanced Privacy. I also tried disabling AFWall+ and restarting the phone, but still no update shows up.
And the outage at Murena seems not to be fully resolved yet, as I understand. So maybe I’ll wait some more.
it is not available anymore …
also an IMG-e- file is not designed for updating, it is for full install from scratch with dataloss…
why i linked to a e- file designed for updating
If you wanted to reinstall your phone as a “fresh start” this is the install page Install /e/OS on a Fairphone FP4 - “FP4”. It contains links to the current builds (2.0 is already about six months old).
As you have a stable=official build you should consider whether you bootloader is locked.
There have been many reports similar to yours, often found under the hashtag fp4 on the forum here.
That’s bad. I’d rather upgrade one step at a time, which means from 1.21 to 2.0 first. Is there no way to get older images? That’s a really bad policy!
A friend of mine has 1.19.1 s installed.
How is it possible to install the provided 2.4.1 t package? The updater does not offer the possibility to update from a local file…
