[HOWTO] How to deal with unstable applications?

Many applications works well on Google Android…
… but there is some glitches on /e/

Why?

Because many apps rely heavily on Google Services…
MicroG does its best to do the job, but that’s not enough sometimes, and issues appears…

By example:
For GPS apps, perhaps your apps is requesting to GLS (Google Location Services) while it could use MLS (Mozilla Location Services)

Also, you cannot recover a paid application you bought on Google Play…

How to fix this ?

There is not a fast and right solution.

The best you can do is to contact developpers to convince him to break all dependancies between his app and Google Services. He has to build an AOSP 100% compatible app (which will still work on Android)

Explain /e/ is growing quickly, if there is for some categories a lack of stable apps, then it’s a great opportunity to increase his market, nobody wants to be the last.

Tell him you were ready to buy his app, but you changed your mind as it’s not so stable, and anyway he offers payment only through Google Play Account, what a pity

You wrote to your app developper?

Congratulations
