[HOWTO] Mail app sync issues - workaround

Some users have reported an issue with the mail app occasionally not syncing. While the development team is looking into the issue a temporary work around and manual way to sync is as under

  1. Go to System Settings > Battery > 3 dot menu > Battery optimization
  2. Click on the drop down menu “Not optimized” and select “All apps”
  3. Click on “Mail” > Don’t optimize

Mail app appears grey, no way to change the settings.
Any fix since OCtober 2018 ?

My Mail don’t sync
The battery is not optimised for the mail app.
What else I could check?
