I would really enjoy it since I love the project but hate that crappy EMUI Huawei now has. I’m also a big fan of open-source and de-googled android like /e/OS or something like lineageOS.
ROM:
- It was shipped with EMUI 5.1, which is Android Nougat (7.0)
- It then recieved EMUI 8.1, which is (you guessed it) Android Oreo (8.0)
- The latest update was in March 2019 when it got EMUI 9.1 which represents Android Pie (9)
After that it got an update to optimize the charging behaviour, adding Huawei Assistant and installing the 2020 security patches.
Mine (VTR-L29) is currently still running that exact version and therefor still official.
I havn’t really had any troubles with the phone itself, some Apps had some weird bugs but most of them were fixed quite fast.
