Installer gets stuck at step 9

I am new here and not very adapt at computing.
I would like to install e/OS on my nothing cmf1 (Android 15) via the installer. It works fine until I reach step 9 when the phone enters the fastboot mode (as depicted in the bottom left corner of the phone’s screen) and my laptop (Windows 11) won’t detect the phone anymore. I updated the driver (ADB interface) but to no avail.
Does anyone have an idea what goes wrong / what I can do to be able to enter the next steps.
Cheers in advance.

Please can you double check that you included update of the necessary Fastboot drivers as [Solved] Windows does not see my phone in Fastboot mode

Thank you for the quick reply.
Where do I run “fastboot devices” to check if my laptop recognizes the phone?

Good question. To do that step one would have to have platform-tools system installed. However the “installer” has its own version not easily accessed by you unfortunately. That step should not be essential in your case. Omit step 1, just do step 2 onwards.

Are you able to just boot to Fastboot and see if it becomes a :warning: Problem device according to Device manager? … or just run the installer with a Device manager window open.

Your fallback position is to use the manual install page Install /e/OS on a Nothing Nothing CMF Phone 1 - “tetris”

It does indeed become a problem device according to the device manager. What does that tell me and which options does it leave me?
To be honest I dread the manual instruction quite a bit as I do not feel used to installing so many items and most of all handling them.
Thanks a lot in advance.

That the drivers which Windows previously installed are not the full driver set to include Fastboot mode.

and it continues with the Windows methods.

That was the way to do it. Thank you very much for your quick and competent help. e/OS has been successfully installed.
