Same issue here with the official S9+ /e/ and Boursobank app⊠The app now starts (a progress), but seems non legit for the authentication process⊠not sure it will be an easy trick to solve this messâŠ
I imagine most users here are of the opinion that this issue is ultimately another case of Googleâs quest to become global gatekeeper of everybodyâs data, and not fecklessness or sloppy work by e/os dev team.
Today I contacted the Open Rights Group about this issue, as herding everyone through the same gate must infringe on consumerâs rights.
Iâve also drafted two petitions - one for 36Degrees or similar, the other for the UK Gov petitions website - both of which are liable to be ignored by parliament, cuz thatâs what they do these days, but it surprised me nobody had yet made such a petition, so figured Iâd give it a go.
The gist of it will be: Keep banking accessible on de-Googled devices, with emphasis on the fact that the device is legally owned outright, and is properly maintained by the user. Google will claim it is keeping us safe and secure, when in fact theyâre hampering or denying access to essential web services, in an effort to increase consumer dependency on their platforms. I will argue that this âall eggs in one basketâ approach limits consumer choice and increases consumer risk by exposing data to poorly regulated corporations.
Most people on this forum are way more versed in the technical side of this, so Iâm putting this idea out there for any critique and criticism.
Hello together
For those who encounter ongoing challenges, when trying to install a Twint App, there is a alternative solution. Try to use Twint Prepaid. ( Prepaid App » TWINT ). Youâll find the Twint Prepaid App in the App launcher. The identification process is uncomfortable, it works indendantly from a bank. On top of the selfie with ID, you may need to mail, triggered by the app, a actual copy of a invoice (gas, water, electricity) showing your name and adress, or in Germany a âMeldebestĂ€tigungâ you get at your cities administration (may cost min. 5âŹ). Then it takes approx. 2-3 workdays for confirmation. After this you have options to load the prepaid amount (directly linked to a account, from some banks listed; deposit from your account; QR-invoice; creditcode after payment at COOP or CH-Post)).

I would like to add an app from Germany to the List: S-ID Check from the Sparkasse
Currently there is no official way to get this to work (/e/ OS on my FP5)
I got it installe via AppLougne on my FP3, but on the FP5 it wont work.
Installing via AppLounge is currently not possible, if I install it via Aurora Store, it says that I should install it from the official PlayStore
I basically see that same thing for the Consorsbank app.
I wonder, whether microGâs verification for âfree appsâ thing is just broken for aurora, or how one could get aurora to cooperate better with microg? Or maybe I am on the completely wrong road?
Ing Diba Germany stopped Working and demands an update from Play store, but in my Case the update does not show up. 28 November 2025 - 3.2-a15-20251022539003-official-FP5
âApp not available for the device.â According to Aurora Store and no response in App Lounge.
KBC Mobile app on FP5 A15 3.2 stopped working after an update (I think). Trying the trick with Aurora Store and Samsung S25 in the Spoof Manager and a Google account doesnât fix it.
I have used both Lloyds Bank personal banking app and Chase Bank with no issues in the UK. Transfers and authentication from web page purchases works fine, as does biometrics. /e/os 3.2 on FP6.
The Crelan Banking App (Belgium) only works partially using /e/OS 3.2 on FP6 via App Lounge.
I am able to execute transactions and QR-code (Payconiq) payments + view some information about my account. All other functions render me with a blank screen without any errors.
It is important to mention that this app is known to be notoriously bad (even though I hadnât any issue with my previous phone).
