Which banking application do you use? Just because it is not on the list does not mean it is not compatible. Just give a try.

For any people with AIB bank in Ireland. The app no longer works. From AIBā¦
As part of that update, the AIB Mobile App now requires certain Google Mobile Services (GMS) components to complete the security checks and allow the login to fully complete.
Unfortunately, operating systems such as e/OS donāt include those Google security services.
This means the app can appear to log in briefly, but it canāt pass the new security requirement, which is why you get the āSecurity updateā prompt and the update process fails every time.
At the moment, the AIB Mobile App is only supported on:
Standard Android devices running Google Mobile Services, and
iOS devices.
You can still login to their website using the ācard readerā. But the mobile app wonāt work at all now.

This AIB app has got me mystified. Iāve replied to a couple of people in the last few months about the AIB app not working.
The app works perfectly for me. Iām running the latest version of the app, 5.80.1.
My phone is a bootloader locked Pixel 5.
My MicroG settings are as follows:
There isnāt a Google account added.
Google device registration - On with spoofed device Lineage OS 14
Cloud messaging - AIB app registered
Device Attestation - AIB app using SafetyNet
Play Store services - Answer license verification request & On-demand component installation both on.
As mentioned the latest app works perfectly for me. I can approve online transactions on my phone, make payments and control all of my account without any issues since e/OS/ version 3. Prior to version 3 it was hit and miss for me.
Anyways, perhaps tweeking the MicroG settings will help but I guess Iāll have to stop telling people it works fine for me. I donāt want people thinking I am a gasligthing troll. Iāll update the list of apps above to show the AIB isnāt functional.

French Boursobank still does not work. The apps starts, but is then refused as legit Google one in identification phase (S9+ with very latest /e/ )ā¦ Donāt know whatās missing

What about the combination of italian bank apps? can it be verified if they at least donāt crash after install&open? does somebody know more?
you need both of them to use the online services and I have no idea if I should flash murena os on a new phone depending on this.

can I avoid reading all the magisk part with a FP6 and the latest version of the os? I donāt want to root the phone if I can skip it and I remember Magisk used to be an app for rooted phone, right?
Hello juste a update (I can not edit the first post but YUH, donāt work, on beginning 2025 the application are working now the banks enable a stupid pseudo security control and impossible to use it on most off android phones, also on e/os)

Re-Retried the shelter fix, once again, no luck.
Have been using e/os since its early days.
Any suggestions are welcome.

I managed more or less to get the app working in Shelter but on a FP6. After restarting the phone, the application asks for permission for notifications and connection fails. On the next tries, the connections succeed until next restart. However, I do not receive application notifications but SMS. It is enough to achieve a 3D Secure paiement validation with the application.

from May on, BBBank is suspending their app āDigitales Bezahlenā. From now on, contactless payment in included in the BBBanking-App ( Mobiles Bezahlen - BBBank ). Iām interested if this way of contactless payment also works with Murena F locked boot loader. Any experiences so far?

I cannot confirm Yuh is not working - on the Pixel 7 with the official release and locked bootloader, I was able to install the app via AppLounge and it works fine.
(Installed while on 3.6 official, Android 15).
For the ZKB Twint app, it seems to depend on the smartphone model and/or software version:
- Pixel 6 (oriole), with /e/os 3.6 community, bootloader unlocked: The app works fine.
- Pixel 7 (panther), with /e/os 3.6 official / 3.7 official with locked bootloader: It is not possible to complete the registration process, the app is not functional.
I wonder if there is some setting that is different for the two smartphone models, or whether it is a difference between community vs. official. But the app itself can run on /e/os.
I am not able to update my Citibank APP. I noted it in 3.6, 3.7 didnāt fix it. when I start app it tells me it needs to be upgraded, link points to appstore, I can download update but it doesnāt install and I have an option to retry. and the loop leasts foreverā¦
