Lock screen freeze un Redmi Note 9 (English/Français)

Hello,
After many obstacles, I finally managed to install /e/OS on my Redmi Note 9. Unfortunately, if I let my phone sleeping a few minutes, when I try to unklock it (in any way possible), the lock screen simply freeze and I’m forced to reboot. I have the same problem with 2.3, 2.4, 2.4.1, 2.5 and 2.7. It’s really unusable.
Do you have an idea ?

Bonjour,

I tried to deactivate lock screen and it seemed to work but actually the phone can freeze at any moment when I use it. The issue comes from somewhere else then.

J’ai essayé de désactiver l’écran de verrouillage ce qui a eu l’air de fonctionner mais j’ai constater que l’appareil pouvait freeze à n’importe quel moment durant son utilisation. Le problème est donc ailleurs.

Does exactly the same happen if you run the phone in Safe mode ?

  • Long press Power button > Long press Power off icon > OK to accept Safe mode.

Before following these instructions please ensure that the device is on the latest Android 11 firmware.

It might have been quite difficult to get the phone on the exact correct firmware.

Hello.
Thanks for your answer.
I finally made it work.
Actually, I installed /e/ on my phone after downgrade to MIUI 12.0 which is Android 10. I had no choice at the time because with MIUI 13 (Android 12 or 13 I don’t remember) and MIUI 12.5 (Android 12) I had several issues with the installation and not a single method worked.
I tried to run it in Safe Mode and I had the same problem. I decided to experiment a little bit, so I installed Ubuntu Touch (the installation process with easy installer and the system works perfectly on the Redmi Note 9 btw). Then, I tried to install /e/ once again. It bricked my phone, but I know how to unbrick it so no problem. Then, I installed MIUI 12.5, and this time, miraculously it worked like on MIUI 12.0.
I have no explanation. But anyway, now it works.
Thanks for your help.
