Lockscreen not compatible with work profile?

Hello
I installed /e/Os on my Samsung note 9. I created successfully a work profile with Shelter. Theni created a lock screen. But i can unlock my phone successfully only if i disable the work profile. Any help ?

Hello!
I am not sure, what exactly you did.
Did you create a user profile for work? Then I would expect that you can switch between your usual user and the work user by drawing down the pull down menu. You should be able to set different pins for each user.

I tried everything but didn’t succeed. To be able to use the mobile i had to disable and delete the work profile.
I see it’s also possible to use the phone with the two profiles without lockscreen. But i don’t want that.
I’m not talking about users, but personal and work profiles that i created using the application Shelter or Insular

Thank you for clarification. With Shelter I have no experience since I use the native implemented user profiles with separated contact lists and data folders. I think it is similar to Shelter.

The user profiles are not easy to use because they can’t run at the same time. You must close one to open the other. That’s why I like using Shelter

When work profile is enabled, i can unlock the phone but it restarts immediately (light restart) and it’s locked again

The /e/OS 3.0 update did not solve the issue. Unfortunagely. Using Shelter or Insulardid not change the situation. Please belp

What is your experience of applying the workaround proposed there?

Effectively there’s an issue here that seems specific to Samsung 9 series, even on the latest beta which uses the LineageOS device tree. From the logs it is related to screen locking. As a temporary workaround you can disable screen locking, configure Shelter, then reenable screen locking.

It works until you reboot the device.
