Looking for help: Fairphone 4 with pre installed /e/ does not sync calendar and contacts

Hello there!
I am using a FF4 with pre installed /e/. While the sync between phone and cloud worked in the beginning it stopped about 2 years back (last sync appears to be 2022). I made several attempts to solve it by screening the forum (And I think, but I could not figure it out, got frustrated and stopped. New year approaching I feel inspired to give it a another try :slight_smile: !
some potential key info:
Nerd level: very low (hence a pre-installed phone)
Version: /e/OS2.6.3
under “account” i see two accounts: name@e.email (Murena.io) and contacts (name@e.email cg);both have syncing enabled.
Language Setting is german, so I am also happy to receive replies with german specifics (Menubäume)

what do the sync settings look like? (see example screenshot. You get there via settings->accounts->account sync “kontensynchronisierung”)

Is the login proper? did you enable 2FA on the online account (neccesitates app passwords instead of the login password).

I’d make a .vcf backup export of the device-local contacts (via Contacts app settings) and re-setup the account after making sure credentials are proper (at the murena.io end). Worst case, reimport .vcf.

There’s also the possible case of contacts being partly device-local, outside the carddav synced account. Android has composite contacts, confusing.
