Mail accounts sync error 404

A gmail account I recently added wasn’t receiving emails in the e/os built-in Mail app so I reauthed it in Account Manager settings. Ever since, all the other gmails I had logged in on my FP6 running e/os have started giving me notifications like in the screenshot attached. I tried redoing OAuth on them just like I did for the initial issue, but it only worked for 2 of them. Rebooting the phone did nothing. The only accounts popping up in the notifications are gmails, both the plain and Address Book entries (why it’s separated like that is a whole another thing). Obviously the affected accounts aren’t receiving emails in the preloaded Mail app despite new emails appearing in webmail - identical case as the one I started with, but this time I’m getting spammed with error notifications every few minutes. Interestingly, the Address Book variants of the 2 accounts that seem to be working are also showing up in the notifications. Any ideas on how to fix this?

(FP6 with 3.0.4 e/os out of the box)

there’s an old and closed bug entry on this: Syncing issues with gmail accounts (#2732) · Issues · e / Backlog · GitLab (and discussed in the forum). The bug issue reads like that at some point errors were just surpressed.

You probably need to look at the logcat to see what’s new about those errors.

If removing and re-adding all accounts still results in errors I’d file it as bug.
