Any plans for US addressing support? I have to use proprietary maps right now because of this specific feature not existing in any open source app.

Is it possible to download an early version for testing?

Checking with the team on how users can also help in this development / testing. Will update

It’s possible and the app is pretty good and cool. Don’t forget it’s an alpha or beta, but it works well.

This is really great news! If you need any beta testers, count me in!

Are there apk-Packages available for test purposes ?

Yes, found here Releases · e / os / Murena Maps · GitLab.

Hello,

Will it be possible to download the basemaps on your phone as on the current application… so that you can continue to use it for hiking. Will the import of gpx tracks still be possible?

Where to submit issues with the “beta”-release ?

I get

Error: An error occurred while fetching the route

Is this because of the absence of the api-keys ?

You can raise the bugs in the gitlab. Mention the version you are using. I am discussing with the team if they want to create a separate testing channel for Maps related issues.

Some of the Murena Map related queries should be answered in the FAQ

I think I might not have been clear enough with my question.

Will Murena Maps be able to understand and navigate to addresses in the United States? We do addresses different here than most other places. Currently no open source apps can do this because OpenStreetMap data doesn’t support it. (Magic Earth does, if somewhat poorly since the last major update).

I have shared your and the other queries from this thread to the team. Also suggested if we could have a group dedicated for testing from the community for Maps. Will get back with the response on how they would want to respond to these queries.

Great news, I am very excited to see what comes out of this

I downloaded it from Obtainium and I’ve been testing it. Despite some issues (completely normal at this stage) I am very impressed overall!

This is exciting project to be sure. Am in USA and understand that comes later, but downloaded via Obtanium and looks quite fantastic!

Maps look impressive even at this stage. There are still lack of some basic settings, but hope it will come later on. I know this map is intended as a gmaps replacements for “normal” users, but do you plan to add some extra settings for those who like to do some setup changes, lie for example possibility to configure offline map location and manual download as an option?

EDIT:

After few minutes spend with murena maps I can tell it’s not important to have option mentioned by me above - there are apps that are quite good on that already. If murena has to replace gmaps - project goes in a perfect direction so far!

Hi

Good to see a murena maps app !

Hope it will have later multiple languages and nice voice and become default system GPS.

How do I add Murena Maps via Obtanium please?
