Recently switched to /e/ from LineageOS. Running the official build, 2.8-s-20250220470167-official-herolte. Samsung Galaxy S7.
One feature I miss from Lineage is I had it configured so that when I double tapped home, it would bring the UI into (I don’t know exactly what LineageOS calls it) a one-hand mode where the entire thing can be used comfortable from one hand - basically blanks out the display except for a 1/4-1/3 scaled down version in the bottom-right of the screen.
This doesn’t seem to exist in LineageOS system settings from what I can tell (or I missed it).
Thanks to the volunteers who keep this show running.
Perhaps use the Search facility in Settings for “one-handed mode”.
I find this on ocean a14. I think it requires System > Gesture navigation in order to set it, but oddly (to me) seems to persist once I disable Gesture and return to 3 button mode.
Edit I do see online material saying that not all Android 12 does Gesture navigation nicely.
I did find the options in settings, but they look a little broken. Big black square to me feels like it should be playing a gif/demo video but … isn’t. “Use one-handed mode” is greyed out and toggled in what I assume is off position.
I played around a bit with the one-handed mode shortcut but it’s a bit of an eye sore for a feature I use pretty rarely.
