Open Source VoLTE availability per phone brand

Hello !

My fellow Samsung S7 passed out a few days ago. Now, I need to find someone else in my life.
As I want to stay under a FOSS OS, I was wondering what phones had VoLTE firmware included in their ROM.

Indeed, Samsung are known to keep their firmware under a proprietary license, so when the 3G network will be shut down in France, I’ll be pissed off. But what about Google, Fairphone, OnePlus or other supported phone ? Do they offer a VoLTE access ?

I’d like to know if someone could make some kind of a list, so that we acknowledge what phones should be purchased on a long-term basis.

Picking up from

TWRP https://twrp.me/ has not had official updates since February 2024 for Android 12 … it is not in mainstream use for many more modern devices, Why doesn't my device have the latest updates? Why was my device's latest update removed from the site?

even though it may have uses for those who are used to it.
