fastboot --version
fastboot version 28.0.2-debian
Installed as /usr/lib/android-sdk/platform-tools/fastboot

download is complete

fastboot coming from “sudo apt install” or from a zip ?

Dunno…
I think it was sudo apt

ok, could be old, take latest https://dl.google.com/android/repository/platform-tools-latest-linux.zip?hl=fr

put it in your /home/cate/ directory

unzip it (use the right clic)

run

export PATH="$HOME/platform-tools:$PATH"

now run

fastboot --version

fastboot --version
fastboot version 28.0.2-debian
Installed as /usr/lib/android-sdk/platform-tools/fastboot

I think its the same as before
did not work l need help with unzip

the right click takes me to extract and not unzip and l never have a directory folder

so it goes in downloads not directory

my bad

put it in your /home/cate/

use the right clic to “extract it here”

open the new folder

then use the right clic to open a terminal from the new folder and run

export PATH="$HOME/platform-tools:$PATH"

then

fastboot --version
